August Fishing Is RED HOT!!!!

Here is Mr. Bobby with an huge 54.5

The big story is the awesome red drum fishing in the lower bay off nassawadox creek. The fish are being caught in 20′-30′ of water on cut bait (spot, hardheads , blues, and kingfish).  The best bite has been at the edge of dark.  There have been some cobia mixed in with plenty of sharks.  The offshore flounder fishery has turned into an offshore hardhead fishery.  The hardheads have measured up to the 16″ range. Folks are still catching flounder mixed in and even a few cobia.  The cobia have taking live lined small hardheads.  The blue water report consist of a few big eye and yellowfin  in the washington.  The inshore lumps still have mahi and some false albacore.  Some wahoo and white marlin also have been caught

Here is my buddy mike with a 200# big eye. These fish have been caught in the canyon trolling after dark.
