Time to Fall into fishing!!

Now that the labor day rush is over we can get down to some “reel” fishing.  The surf is producing some red drum, kingfish and blues.  There is still some red and cobia action in the lower Chesapeake.  The offshore scene has consisted of a few white marlin and small yellowfin in the canyons.  The yellows have been in the 20 lb class with a few bigger mixed in.  “Rumor Has It” out of Chinco. has been producing good numbers of yellows green sticking during the day while most have been caught in the evening.  Rob Pellicot had some nice tiles including a citation blue and golden on his last trip to the deep.  The Big Eye bite still is sporadically  consistent with enough fish coming to the dock to keep our hopes up.  The tangier sound has seen an uptick in bottom fishing action with good catches of spot, kingfish , hardhead and believe it or not grey trout.  The shallows are starting to produce rock and some undersized specs.  This should improve as the temp falls and the days get short.  Don’t forget to sign up for the Bay Challenge tourney this week. Sign up at the shop and fish Saturday 9/19 with a weigh time of 5:30pm.  There will be some awesome  prizes and a great time.  Don’t forget we’ve got all your hunting needs from tick spray to the newest Excalibur crossbows.  Stop in and we’ll do anything we can to help you out.
