Summer fishing has been as hot as the weather. There has been action both offshore and inshore. From flounder to mahi there has been something for everyone. The off shore bite has been OK as fish have moved a little deeper toward the canyon. Mahi have been caught as close in as Blackfish Bank. Spades and triggers have supplemented the strong flounder bite at the cars and other near shore wrecks. The cobia bite in the lower bay has slowed a little but we are getting ready for the August red drum run. Put you cursor on the pics for more info and reports
THE RAIL CAR AND NEAR SHORE WRECK ACTION HAS BEEN SUPER. A LOT OF NICE FISH HAVE BEEN TAKEN ON SMELT , LONG SQUID STRIPS AND FLOUNDER BELLY. CAPT ROB PELLICOT PUT THIS YOUNG LADY ON THIS NICE DOORMAT ON THE CARS. TAKE PLENTY OF RIGS AND SINKERS TO 10 OZ. OR SO. YOU ARE GOING TO NEED THEM.

tHE NEAR SHORE WRECKS HAVE NOT ONLY HELD FLOUNDER, SPADES AND TRIGGERS HAVE ALSO BEEN FOUND IN AND AROUND THE STRUCTURE. THE FISH HAVE BEEN TAKING SUSPENDED SMALL PIECES OF CLAM .
BASS IN THE PONDS HAVE BEEN SNAPPING. TOPWATER FROGS AND BUZZ BAITS HAVE PROVIDED SOME DUSK AND DAWN THRILLS. HERE IS JOSH WITH A NICE BASS CAUGHT ON HIS NEW SEA HAWK ROD & REEL COMBO. GREAT JOB!
THE SEASIDE IS STILL PRODUCING FLOUNDER PARTICULARLY ON THE LAST OF THE FLOOD TIDE. TAKE PLENTY OF BAIT THE CRABS HAVE BEEN BAD. MR. & MRS. JEFF BEECH SOW THEIR SKILLS PULLING A COUPLE DOOR MATS OUT FROM THE MASSES OF UNDER SIZED FISH
MIXED IN WIYH LOWER BAY COBIA SOME REDS ARE STARTING TO MAKE THIER WAY NORTH. IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO WE WILL ALL BE DOWN OF BAYFORD ENJOYING A FUN CAUGHT AND RELEASE TROPHY DRUM RUN

EVEN IN THE POCOMOKE RIVER THERE HAS BEEN SOOM SUMMER ACTION AS BASS AND CATS PROVIDE A NICE BATTLE ON A HOT DAY.
