This is going to be an awesome weekend. The weather is supposed to be good and muzzleloader will be in full swing. This week we returned to the shallows of Smith and Tangier. The water has cooled to the low 60’s but the fish were still in a shallow water pattern with one exception. We did find a small bird play on the west side of Smith that had a couple of keepers within. All the rest of the fish were pulled from around the bank and in submerged stumps. Capt Curtis Johns has had some good grey trout fishing in the sound. Offshore there has been a tuna/ wahoo bite around the Norfolk, for those tough enough to brave the rough conditions. The surf has been slow with most of the action being made up of kingfish and smaller blues. Don’t forget we have got everything you need for muzzleloader season and plenty of deer corn to keep’em coming back.
